The Lakhovsky
Coil
|
For over 20 years I made the
Lakhovsky Coil by using a bare copper wire with a rubber piece
on one end. It was a real pain having to clean it all the time
and I was hoping that after I put this information on the
internet someone would come up with something to put on the
copper so it wouldn't tarnish. You can imagine my surprise when
someone suggested that the best thing to do was to leave the
outer insulation on the copper and then there was no need for
the rubber piece and no need for cleaning. Also, it seems to
last longer without having to replace it as soon.
I have tried this and it works
except that it seemed that more copper was needed to get the
same results as what I had been getting for 20 years. So, my
husband and I started wearing 2 coils instead of one and that
seems to be working great.
You're going to take one look at
the instructions and tell yourself "This couldn't possibly
work!". I have been telling myself the same thing for years but
as I keep putting it on more and more people and pets I am
amazed at how well it does work. I'm sure there is some
scientific reason why it works but as yet I haven't had the
ability to do the research. Anyway here are the instructions.
How to make the Lakhovsky Coil
What you will need:
#10 solid copper wire is available at almost any hardware store
(or you can use #8, #12 or #14 but I have found that #10 works best for me).
If it is insulated just leave the insulation on.
This
copper wire is the kind that is used for house electrical
wiring.

If you can't get the #10 wire in
a single strand you can get the wire that is called "10-2 with
ground" there will be three strands of #10 solid copper wire
wrapped in an outer casing you will have to remove. In that case
two of the individual strands are insulated and one is bare. Strip
off the outer orange casing and you can use the three wires
separately as shown in the picture below.
Some people leave the wires inside this outer casing and use it
when they have to drive long distances. They just keep it
in the car and put it around their waist while they are driving.
It is pretty thick and heavy so it is not so good to wear all
the time.

The coil is worn around your
waist, it doesn't need to be against the skin to work and can be
worn either inside or outside your clothes. You will want to
get enough to fit around your waist with at least a 2-inch
overlap but a larger overlap is Ok as per the picture. For those
of you who live outside the United States the wire sizes are
listed different. Here is an
equivalent for our #10 wire.
Next you need to get something
to secure it around your waist. I prefer using a rubber band
since it secures it tight, is easy to adjust and comes off
easily.

First you loop the rubber band around the two ends of the coil.

Then you just twist the rubber band round and round both coils and loop
it over the end of one of the coils
Some people
just tape it on with black tape others tape a rubber piece on it
and push the end of the coil into the rubber piece.
Yes, you have it
right! All you have to do is get or buy a piece of copper wire
leave on the insulation and wrap it around your waist and secure
it. It's that simple!span>
A few things:
There is still some debate as to
if you have to use solid copper wire or you can use stranded.
If stranded is all you have try it and see if it works, if it
doesn't then try the solid wire.
Some people have used telephone
wire and just tied it around their waist. You can also use
computer ribbon cable and put Velcro on it to keep in place
around the waist, some cut it on a diagonal so the copper wires
inside are different lengths.
I would suggest wearing 2 coils
in the beginning and after a while you can change to 1 coil.
But it depends on what size copper wire you are using.
You don't have to put anything
on the ends but you can put a rubber piece or just tape it so it
doesn't poke you.
With my cat I just bend it
around and don't secure it using a #14 AWG wire.
People with depression have been
having good results with the Lakhovsky Coil.
As to how much and how long you
have to wear the Lakhovsky Coil depends on your age. The
younger you are the less you have to wear it (younger than 40)
you will have to wear it all the time until your better and
after that only when you injure yourself. If you are in your
60’s, 70’s or 80’s you will probably have to wear it most of the
time but not all the time.
We still don't understand how or
why these copper coils work but maybe some day with the
experimenting we'll find out.
I have
the old instructions on another page here just to give you more
information but it is so exciting not to have to strip the
wires, put the rubber piece on, and most importantly not to have
to clean it all the time.
Most people, including myself, have
found that after wearing a coil for a while that it isn't as effective
as when they first started getting results. When that happened they just
made up a new one and started wearing it. I always hated it when I had to
start wearing a new one because it would take a little while before I started
getting really good results. But, it has never failed me.
Please email me with
any results you have since the more people I have to write about the more
people will try it.
